We wanted to visit the castle in Fuengirola and found a modest little beach side restaurant where I ordered sardines for lunch - these were threaded on a skewer, propped against some burning embers on an old row boat filled with sand down on the beach! Novel but didn't detract from the delicious flavour - enhanced it I guess! They have some interesting customs out here - been out with new-found friends a couple of times for dinner and once the bill is paid we get treated to a round of drinks on the house - I like it!!
The views from Fuengirola were not particularly spectacular inland facing but the backdrop to Malaga in the distance was the snow capped Sierra Nevada.
